About Me
Originally from Murray, KY, I moved to Nashville in June of 1994. After purchasing and renovating my first home in the Inglewood area of East Nashville in May of 1997, I soon realized that my true calling was in the real estate market and became a licensed RealtorŪ in December of 2001. I am a member of Local, State, and National Associations of RealtorsŪ. I love the opportunity to help a client find a great buy in the rapidly up and coming areas near downtown Nashville. I also enjoy helping homeowners realize the true potential of their investments in this area as well. Pictured below is my personal home located in the Historic Edgefield district of East Nashville. This will be my 10th complete home renovation during my 12 years of living in East Nashville. I purchased the home in April of 2007 and am in the process of completing a full restoration of this 1880's Italianate Victorian. Be sure to visit the before & after gallery to see the interior photos of my newest (oldest) place to call home!
My Home This 1880's built Italianate Victorian home received major alterations in the 1950's. The 12 and 10 foot ceilings were lowered to 8 foot, original tall windows were replaced with smaller "picture" style windows, the heart pine flooring was covered with oak, 2 fireplace mantels were removed from the home (and one additional fireplace was covered), most of the original interior millwork & all of the transoms were removed, and the front portico was replaced with a new lower profile "awning". ALMOST 60 YEARS LATER... It's all back! Oak floors were removed and the underlying heart pine has been restored, the small amount of remaining trimwork was duplicated by a local carpenter, original style doors, transoms & hardware have been replaced, a cast iron mantel has been installed on one fireplace, another fireplace has been uncovered and restored, and all of the windows have been replaced with tall period style windows. Even the original front portico has been rebuilt! Be sure to check out the before & after gallery to see interior photos of the home! |
